Ph.D. Zoology. University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Thesis title: “Do bees matter to cranberry?  The effect of bees, landscape, and local management on cranberry yield”. December 2013. Advisor: Dr. Claudio Gratton.

M.S. Entomology and Agroecology. University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thesis Title: “Conservation of Non-Crop Habitats and Ecosystem Services in Wisconsin Potatoes.” May 2009. Advisor: Dr. Claudio Gratton.

B.A. Environmental Studies, with Honors.  Bates College, Lewiston, ME.  Thesis Title: “Impact of Patch Retention on Ground Beetle Communities in Western Maine.” May 2003. Advisor: Dr. Curtis Bohlen.

Research Interests

I am interested in the impact of habitat fragmentation and land-use on insect communities.  More specifically, I am interested in how beneficial insects in agro-ecosystems are influenced by local and landscape-scale habitat availability and management.
